Mike Mine to Hanging Rock (Rudall River)

Mick and Al's trip through the eastern edge of the Pilbara and into the Rudall River National Park.

This video picks up on the 4th July, 2009 as we make our way south along the Oakover River. As we start the day, it's gloomy having rained steadily over night. The old Mike Mine is some kilometres behind us, and Pearana Rockhole a few km further south. Join us as we travel south to Mount Hodgson and Christies Crossing and then east into the Little Sandy Desert to Bocrabee Hill and then Tchukardine Pool. It's a pretty remote area and our route takes us into Western Australia’s most remote National Park, Rudall River. The day’s travels are continued in the "Discovering Hanging Rock" .

''We knew from the experience of well-known travelers that the
trip would doubtless be attended with much hardship.''
