A well deserved Rest Day.

Naturally it was a day of rest today. I was feeling much better after a good night’s sleep so the day was spent attending to chores about the vehicle and taking care of a load of washing or two. I managed to filter 50 litres of water for our onwards journey. It was a sunny day with a bit of wind about. Alan decided to walk back up the gorge and spend a bit more time looking around the No. 1 Pool of the DQB series.

That afternoon we were joined by three vehicles, a pair setting up camp near the entrance to the gorge and some fellow Victorians, Peter, Kevin & Chris setting up justto the west of us. We caught up and introduced ourselves as is the way of the bush, swapping info about certain routes and their highlights. Evening was spent over at 3 Goannas Pool once again. We are all packed and ready to head off into the east of the park tomorrow. The moon was absolutely brilliant as it rose. It was so bright that the reflected light made it a constant twilight.

trip would doubtless be attended with much hardship.''
