Going to the
Bridle Track via Root Hog Road - go to Freemantle Rd, Eglington (
Bathurst) - DO NOT follow the signs from the Rural Fire Station to the
Bridle Track just continue up Freemantle Rd. The first turn-off is about 48km from
Bathurst and just past Gowan (locality) - Y
intersection bear right on Freemantle Rd. See

A few hundred metres up the road the gravel starts and keep close eye out for Root Hog Rd as it sneaks up on the right at another Y
intersection - there is a Give Way sign there ... from Root Hog Rd. The road continues down to the river and keep to the right of the Root
Hill sign at the top of the
hill.
