Travelling in convoy again with family friends the Kuipers, this 9 day trip started on Thursday before
Easter and finished on Friday 15th April. Our trip covers 3 main sections: the
Holland Track (field checking the Trek Notes we have published on ExplorOz starting in
Broomehill and all the way through to
Coolgardie; then an enjoyable and scenic loop through the Eastern Goldfields taking in
Ora Banda,
Rowles Lagoon, Lake Bollard,
Niagara Dam, Kookynine, and Kalgoorlie; and finally the third section follows the
Cave Hill Woodlines from
Coolgardie,
Burra Rocks,
Cave Hill,
Hyden, Brockton and then back
home to
Perth.
This was a fantastic trip, especially the new and interesting finds around the Eastern Goldfields which we had intended to prepare as new Trek Notes - (post script: March 2008, these are not yet published sorry). Plot files however for both the Eastern Goldfields areas and the
Cave Hill woodlines, complete with all waypoints have been uploaded to the PlotSwap system see
