Len Beadell's Tree
This to me typifies the the beauty and adventure of exploring Australia. This tree is one on which Len Beadell placed a
plaque during his surveying of inland roads. Being on the
Great Central Road, it is not difficult to access and is in an area of colour and beauty, but remote enough to experience travelling all day and seeing only one or two other vehicles, and quiet desert nights under a
bright starry sky. It celebrates the workmanship of Len's incredible team in creating roads in this untouched and remote region in the 1960s. Part of the great adventure of Australian travel.
