The plan for today was to sleep in and have a bit of a rest day with minimum travel. We headed off into the forest behind "Adventure Bay" across to "Cloudy Bay". The roads were gravel but in good condition. There are a number of
places to visit in the forest but some require fairly hard walks and we decided to bypass those. We came a cross a great
lookout on the western side of the forest just before coming out onto farmland. This
lookout gave a great view out across Cloudy Bay Lagoon, Cloudy bay and the
Lighthouse at
Cape Bruny.

We then headed down to Cloudy Bay where we found a really nice
camping area called
The Pines just before
the beach.

The next destination was the
Cape Brunylighthouse. The road passed through farmland and forest, although gravel it was in good condition. We stopped at 2 lookouts on the way, the first called Mabel Bay and the second unnamed, but gave great
views of
Cape Bruny.

At the
lighthouse there are 3 houses, one of which is set up as a museum. The walk to the top of the
hill where the
lighthouse sits is fairly steep, but worthwhile. The
views are in all directions, the only problem I had was standing still enough in the wind to take pictures.
