G'day Folks

Any comments on the Apex CP in Deloraine? We're looking for a cental spot to do some walking around Mole Creek, The Western Tiers, and the Great Lake.

And . . .any comments/recommendations on CPs in Launceston?

Thanks

John

The park in Deloraine is a top spot, right on the bank of the Meander river. Pretty cold down here atm but all Tassie is :)
Another option is the Mole Creek CP, its suitated about 2mins from Mole Creek on the bank of the Sasafrass Creek, also a top little park. You could easily spend a week around the area here( Im at Chudleigh, half way between the two).

Thanks Nick

I'll have another look at Mole Creek. I did check out the CP on Google Earth, but not the town.

The caravan park at Deloraine is right on the train line and it is really loud in the middle of the night. Their was a member on here posted a while ago about trouble there with kids throwing rocks on their roof at night. We have stayed but personally think I'd stay somewhere else next time due to the train. It is a good location but not my pick. There is a great park at Latrobe or as mentioned, Mole creek.
In Launceston try Treasure Island caravan park see here http://www.caravancampingnetwork.com.au/tas/north/launceston_treasure_island.html
We have stayed there a few times and it is good.

We based ourselves at Low Head C/p to do the Launceston area....nice quiet spot
with all facilities nearby...supermarket, club etc. Park has been extended with very
good amenities etc. Unfortunately, like most of Tassie, it is for sale....oldbaz.

Thanks Oldbaz

I assume that it's not your flash-looking fifth wheeler that features on the Low Head website.
