Thinking of doing a short camping trip with different Wheels, (If i can convince her..lol)
Used to love the Triumph Bonneville as a tourer years ago.before the married life, spent many a night under a tarp strung over a fence,
Thinking about a Trike,,,,,Tent accommodation where ever possible.
Carrying a bit of gear might be a prob, but i'm sure they make little trailers for them.
I think its Do'able, Question1..Am i mad?
Question2..Will i end up, ,.. ..On my own Again....LOL.

Hi Axle,
There was a bloke in
Kununurra last year with a Can-am trike and trailer, so it's possible. His tent looked to be an Oztent or similar.
Good looking setup!

My ten year old and I have have been doing it just about every school holidays on two wheels. Bought a trailer to to behind it as I do need to carry that little extra.
I have seen campeer trailers for bikes, that will put a car one to shame.

Axle,
Get intouch with the local Ulysses Branch and you will probably be able to talk to people that have what you are dreaming about and will give first hand info about it.
I have a Elite Sprinter
http://www.elitecampers.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=73&Itemid=98 that I tow behind a K1200LT. We are doing a couple of months next year in SA and Vic. We spent two months doing the lap with the camper behind a Corolla and found it very comfortable.

Hi Axle,
Q1 yes ( we all are)
Q2 yes
If she's keen then 3/4's of your battle has been won. Simplify is a great way to camp/travel. I swagged with a burner and esky, to WA and back, No worries. Although the girl I was with at the time soon moved on . If I'd have known that was all it took I woulda done it years ago ; )
Cheers Wilko

In
Hobart in Febuary there were 2 guys and passengers on trikes with matching trailers one was a VW set up the other based on the Valkarie bike .They were tenting with occasional park chalet accommodation nice set ups. The Vw,s are worth $30,000 plus mate just built one here in
Geraldton the guy with the Valkarie said his owed him over $50,000.The advice about the Ulysses club is good as both these guys were members OH and the passengers SEEMED happy .
