Travelling from the East - Journey westward through
Ceduna and
Penong, and turn off the sign and travel 22 km to
Fowlers Bay. 7km on sealed road and 15km on unsealed road.

Thanks for that. How bad is the dirt road. Is it too rough for a new caravan?

When we went in there about 18 months ago it was fine.
My van is a highway unit, not designed for off road and it was no problems.

came through there 3 wks ago and turned around the road was so bad. Absolutely to rough for a new van or any van unless you have airbag
suspension and dont mind getting the crap shaken out of you and vehicle on evil corrugations. Not my idea of fun however good the location may be.

Did you come in from the West or from the turn off at Bookabee?

Hi Ann
As you now know, it is dirt, and a good road at that. The caravan park is small, clean and tidy and a good spot to stay. It is
well worth the drive in and stay a few days to see what the area has to offer.
Cheers
Stephen

Our caravan had an underslung axle so we were fine but we travelled in with friends who had very low clearance and they were fine too - we just took it slow but we did get lots of dust in the vans! If we had've just covered the vents we wouldn't have got dust in. And yes it's worth the effort - a lovely little place.

The rougher the road,the better.
Fowlers Bay is suffering from a severe case of being loved to death these days.
