Yes. We were there last year and water was available via the hand pump

Hi David
When we were last there in August last year, the bore was working with no problems at all, the same can not be said for the bore at Camp Beadell.

Cheers

Thanks Stephen hopefully the Geraldton bore hasnt suffered the same fate as Camp Beadell was it vandalised [you would wonder why if thats the case] or just a corrosion or old age problem. cheers Dave

Hi Dave
The Camp Beadell Bore was not vandalised, as if it was, the foot valve and the connection pipe would be at the bottom of the bore. You can see that some kind person has used a tie down strap to support the section of pump that was damaged. Depending on where you are going to, there are a couple of other good working bores further east on the old Gunbarrel. The furthest is only around 400 metres from the track, but signposted.

Have a great trip, it is great country out there.

Cheers

Stephen

If things are grim with any of the bores, there should be water available at Mungilli outstation on the Eagle. A little bit off track but not too far. The Sandlewood boys were back in last year and had all bores pumped and were only too happy to provide water.

Cheers Mick

yer thanks for that Mick i was thinking that the Eagle hwy might be a little less corromugated than the Gary hwy and a top up at Mungilli might persuade us to go that way. cheers Dave
