Hi All, we went down to Molloy Island with a group of friends on the weekend and on Saturday went for a 4wd run onto
the beach at
Hamelin Bay. Whilst there we noticed a little island (the size of a big
rock) off the corner of HB and perched on top of the Island is what looks like a little hut, can someone enlighten me as to what this hut is and what is the significance of it?????
Cheers
Deanna

Hi Deanna,
It would appear to be a decommissioned light house
Info link you will need to scroll down to find the information on the light house.
Cheers,
Wayne.

You're correct Flywest,
Maybe what I should have said was......
It's possibly part ofthe old
lighthouse structure, with the
lighthouse it self being moved to the mainland and is now known as
Foul Bay Lighthouse.
Cheers,
Wayne.

Deanna
I think It was the Island end of a "flying fox" used to resuply the
Lighthouse when the weather was bad. There is an info board on a walk track south of the bay opposite the "little hut"
Cheers Mac
