I think so, but not positive.
Ask a local and you will get the correct info when in the area.

Craig, coords are S34 35 18.7, E139 36 36.3. Every time we drive past the channel we say "we gotta take the kids to the cave". But we don't.

To get to the cave you can go two ways. 1st is by river. You go in through the short channel opposite the northern end of the caravan park. Then go sort of northeast across the lagoon (whats left of it). Last time I was there the entrance was hard to get to as it was overgrown at river level. But you can wade your way thru the scrub. Its easy to see. You will probably need a tinnie to get there, although, with the current river level you can probably walk across. Its approx a k wide. Once there its 10 or so metres above water level to the entrance.

2nd way is via the main road. Go to the corner of the Nildottie road where the golf course is and park your car on the side track. There is a pump shed up there. There is a track leading down the cliff and eventually to the cave.

Make sure you take a rope and an extra torch. There is a cavern with a spiral entrance. You've got to go in there and then there is a small pool to swim thru.

Haven't been there for 10 or so years but its very interesting. check out the big tree stump inside the cave. Makes you wonder how it got there.

Happy spielientologying (???)

Louie.

Where you heading in from? If by river you can park your car just between Old Punyelroo and the South Punyelroo causeway and put your boat in at the public ramp. Then it's only about a K up river on the other side.
