And if anyone else is interested:

I was originally planning to go now, but I havnt gotten the car ready enough. I have most of the gear, so its mostly a matter of fixing bits and pieces, and sorting it all out.

Also, I was having problems finding people that wanted to go with me, mainly because all my mates are working, in debt, and cant get time of work.

So then Id figured I do it by myself, but a less demanidng route, going stretzleski from flinders to birdsville not going into simpson at all.

If you are interested in doing something, let me know! I was going to go 22 september - 5 october instead now, but I realy want to go through the simpson, but dont realy want to do it by myself, so if you are keen!

Hi Jo,

Cannot access your page so unfortunately cannot view your plans. I am considering doing a similar trip around that time depending on weather. If not I will travel up and do the Plenty Hwy to Alice then Alice to Oodnadatta.

Jo you might not be aware that the simpson desert bike race is on from 27 sept I think , so there will be heeps of trafic If you get stuck. Have FunAround Oz 06/2004
