Was in
Melbourne recently. Traffic unbelievable. They have areal problems. Rather than banning 4WDs, which won't do anything to help the problem any way, I suggest we should contribute to the debate by arguing for banning anything with more than 4cylinders in the inner urban area and demanding better public transport at the same time. I see
Melbourne is bringing in free train travel into the city if you travel before 7.00 am. That kind of thinking is better than scapegoating 4WDs and getting into an internet voting blitz (which are usually just set up to increase the number of hits the site has rather than any real attempt to look at the problem.

Done....
As I, and possibly a good many others only own a 4WD, this could be construed as discrimination.
It looks like it is all encompassing, with no differentiation between 4WD and AWD, so does this mean that vehicles like the Holden Adventra, Cross-8 and many other such like vehicles are included?

ban more than 4cyl? forget it, everyone will want an 8L single piston engine. Ban 4x4? Then everyone will want a 4x2 Landcruiser. Ban SUVs? What if they were hybrid, or diesel hybrid, hydrogen fuel-cell or anything else that's perhaps emissions free? My thoughts are leave everyone alone, and when newer technologies become available to make all cars emissions free, then make them mainstream. But bans, fines, heavy taxes, isn't going to work.
