My caravan has a painted undersided floor. Has anyone used bitumen to seal the ply floor?

Hi

I have used bitumen paint on my house gutters just to test the product only because the contractor never had the fall right.I was impressed with the product.

However if it was ply i would first give it a good coating of a product called ' Weldbond ' get it from bunnings buy a big container and get the 'Weldbond Plus ' that is the latest it is more advanced.

Caution it doe's not like and will not harden on it.

Pour heaps on and it will soak in you only get one go at it so put heaps on a Gallon is about $30.00

You could use bitumen and the new stuff does harden however supercheap has a product in a for under wheel wells and that does harden to resist stone chips if you have a compressor they have a liter tin.Caution not the body deadener.

hi
Like all things it is best to try some on some scrapwood first leave 24 hours .

Weldbond is a great product soaks into wood and dries clear.

Try some on the scrapwood and then 2 hours later coat with bitumen leave 24 hours and see what you have.

If bitumen is used on a floor in a enclosed area allow alot of time to dry perhaps run a fan in there.

Another use for the Bitumen would be to replace the engine oil in a 3 liter nissan diesel and try and sell it thorugh the Auctions.

Couldnt resist slipping that one in could you. LOL
My 3L nissan after 306k doesnt need oil tops in 10k (between changes) and the drained oil is almost as clear as it went in. (another advantage of clean LPG)
But we diverge a little. My van floor was stone blasted on the Oodnadatta and Birdsville so I also need something like the above . But especially on the steelwork.

Hi Glen

No nothing to do with the USA website at all as a matter of fact i would advise anyone to have nothing to do with any wealth creation scams on the net.

No what i do i can not say lets just say we will be listing ASX within 6 months then be brought out and retire to a property at Kin Kin.

I should change my exploroz name But no one would know who i was umm maybe not lol.
