Hey Brad,
Yes I was getting "service unavailable" also. I think there was a problem with the server again (same as last night). It is being looked into and will hopefully be all sorted by tomorrow night. Seems to be happening at the same time each night.
Should all be okay now, and there appears to be no problems at all during the day.
Sorry to all who have had trouble.

Hi Again Guys,
Just to add to Jackies Post.
We may have
logon issues again at peak times until David gets back to weave his magic. I have spoken with our Technician (on the web server side) who has apologised for the difficulties- but there is an issue they cannot resolve without Davids coding expertise.
I trust many of you will know that David has also gone away for a bit of a break. (
Well he's actually working, - doing some ExplorOz research in the scrub out near the
Holland Track - you know - getting some up to date Road Conditions for me, and doing some Trek Notes for Michelle, and I suspect doing some taste testing for Tooheys and Corona)
I dont think he's too far away from mobile reception so Im optimistically expecting improvements at any time. We do appreciate how patient everybody has been.
It seems that at peak times in the evenings is the most likely time to have problems gaining access to the site.
Thanks for your patience,
Kerry W

Jackie / Kerry
Dunno if the below observations are of value but here they are.
While the site presentes service Unavailabe, the server was up - I was ably to ping
www.exploroz.com. The URL was resolved to an IP address and the server responded in a reasonable time.
I just happen to walk past the PC and re-pinged the server and noticed there was no reply, a few seconds later I got a reply. I expect this is the time that the server was re-booted.
Once the server was online , ther was a small wait of upto another 10 seconds for web serving to begin. Once it began I was able to navigate to the
forum. I was only able to complete 2 page navigations (under5 sconds) before the service was again unavailable.
Paul.

Hi
I often go bush with Pajeros, it amazes me how
well they go, always up there with the LCs and Patrols.
Seems that a putting the brain in gear firstly and then having good tyres, right tyre pressure and good experienced drivers is 90% of the battle.
Cheers
Phil

My point exactly.
There seems to be a growing trend towards "hijacking" posts and I for one find it annoying because invariably the original subject matter gets forgotten because the post goes off on some tangent and therefore not answered.
Surely its not hard to start a new post if you want to talk about something, especially when in this case it was about a Pajero in a members picture and had nothing to do with the log on problems.
Its bloody rude.
