ok were now going south ......for reason of weather and injoyment .......was thinking or this route ........if anyones done this .please lend some advise as to ........route changes for activites..things to see ...or just a more interesting trip ............................as its my 13 year old sons first trip ....only the two of us ..so want to make it as memorable as i can for him .to remember ........any tips greatly needed .............bundy in need

Anywhere north of about mid NSW and inland is going to be very hot , with the likelyhood of frequent thunderstorms. The whole camping/travelling experience is just going to be unpleasant. It has nothing to do with where you are going, and everything to do with when. December is mid cyclone season.

Perhaps a better option would be to explore the high country in Victoria and make your way across to the snowy river area

thanks gary .............always wanted to go the high country way but never got down to vic .........may go a little earlyer and see it ...gold coast is a must as a wedding to attend .but some time in the cool mountain air would b nice ......cheers ..Bundy
