Can anyone give me a clue as to any
free camping around
Lake Argyle.
wil be towing 23ft van (not off road)

Coming from east there is one close to road about 110ks from Kununarra.

As per Camps Aussie Wide Vol 3 there are 2 free sites close to
Lake Argyle.
602 -
Kununurra West
Rest AreaParking area 34 klms East of Victoria Highway
junction or 12 klms West of
Kununurra.
Site is shady, allows pets and is suitable for big rigs.
603 - Fine
Spring CreekParking area 26 klms East of Lake Aygyle or 7 klms West of Highway1 on the
Lake Argyle Rd. Caution with heavy vehicles, soft crust!
Site is close to road, allows pets and is suitable for big rigs.

If you want to
camp AT
Lake Argyle the answer is no. There is a caravan park there which is pretty rough and ready.
