Rob from Cairns Offroad Training & Tours
Driving to pick up some torists at about 6.30am a couple of days ago I snapped this.
Sunrise over wet season storm clouds.
Driving up to
Cooktown on the
Bloomfield Track on Sunday night at about 8.00pm in teeming rain I spotted this 80 Series just north of
Granite Creek. It was still there next morning when I came
home. Windows open and rear screen broken but quite a straight car still there in pouring rain.

The sunrise is very good , but you have a way to go to beat the "Camels on
the Beach "

Rob , It pays to have the camera in easy access doesn't it . So often I've kicked myself for not having it ready to get that one in a million shot .

Rob, on the way
home from
Cooktown late last year, a house in Wudjal Wudjal had a late model 80 series GXL up on blocks with no wheels, very straight with what looked to be all the windows, still thinking what price I would have got it for if I had pulled up, wonder if this is from the same family.....

A long time ago, a wise woman suggested a philosophy to me:
"we do... what we want to do...."
I think it's correct.

Rob,
What sort of camera do you use? Almost a silly question, to ask if it's film.
As for the 80, saw a
grey turbo one like this in
Jabiru, a couple of years ago. Really depressed me, the way it was being treated. Say no more....
Hooroo...
