Hey brains trust, after christmas i am roadtripping with the girls to see my old man in wonthaggi in vic . I have three weeks to do the trip with approx a week in melb seeing family .
I know i can't see everything and i am debating on routes to take but i am thinking maybe on way over go via espy and old telepgraph station . What are the must see
places between
norseman and
port augusta. Debating wether to take her along the southern part of melb and then ferry across to
sorrento or go via northern vic and show them where i grew up .
i have about a week assigned for each direction .

Hi
By the time you get to Queenscliff the kids maybe all tripped out by that stage? However the ferry trip across to
Sorrento maybe a bit of a change of scenery for them during the day. You could go back the northern vic way?

We did it last Christmas (me, missus and 5/7/9yo girls).
We took 2 double swags on the roof rack and free camped there and back. Kids loved
the beach at the
Eucla jetty, water was magnificent. No whales at
head of bight at that time of year but still worth a look. We went down to
Streaky Bay which is very nice. Then around the peninsula to Port Gibbon, our favourite
camp for the trip -
pic below.
Kimba has a massive new-ish playground with a jumping pillow if the kids are into that.
Iron Knob has a gravel
camp with a magnificent open shower, nothing flash but so refreshing in the gravel surrounds.
I wouldn’t worry about any W.A.
places, save them for later trips when you have less time.

brilliant thanks mate . Should have mentioned i aint worried about WA stuff. Can always do that but was more thinking around SA and vic . One direction i will take them via northern vic along the rivers. We will be either in swags or camper trailer so will be wanting to
free camp and 4wd so was thinking maybe one way divert to or from old telegraph station
