The Chidlow Growers Mart, in the Hills above
Perth, has been selling diesel at $1.15 or $1.14 for at least 3 months - whilst all the other servos have been gouging $1.25 and up to $1.35 for diesel.
That's a huge difference, and it's not like the Chidlows Growers Mart is going broke anytime, they are still making 7c to 8c a litre margin on the diesel. The long-term profit margin on fuel at a retail point, is 2c a litre!!
Coles and Woolworths are the worst, they drop the price of petrol, and gouge diesel users, to make up for their lack of petrol profit on "discount days".
It's not unusual in W.A. to find diesel substantially cheaper outside the city.
