Yeah there's not much that can beat the magical colours of a good sunset and sunrise for that matter.......being outback just adds to the beauty.

Greg
Someone (not me) who lives in the outback will tell you there are better photos than those, .... ones with rain clouds building

No doubt about that - was sitting out there with a few mates next to the campfire in complete bliss.

Yeh, I discovered outback sunsets by accident when I photographed the outline of some trees in
Windorah on the way back from
Birdsville...it sort of becomes an obsession, doesn't it? You set up
camp and then look around for interesting silhouettes...and then go for a wander...
check the outlines of those other trees across the track...then all those things you meant to do before light faded are now...oops...being done by torchlight...
And like Greg's 3rd photo...sometimes there doesn't have to be anything other than a horizon, eh?
Nice shots!
Robyn :)

Obsessed!
I set my camera up on a tripod when we at Uluru. Set to multiple burst and every couple of minutes - 1500 odd pics later (thank god for 64 gig cards) looking back I could barely see the difference between the images until you flick through them very quickly. Made it into a little movie and the constant change still amazes me. Only problem it is a very big file because it is lots and lots of Photoshopping.
Cheers

I didn't know where to stop on this one. It's a privilege to be there when mother nature turns it on.

Great photos Greg. It is always a bonus when in the bush when the clouds and the sun line up at sunrise or sunset.

MickO's Rule No.1. Always has been...always will be!
When travelling in the great Australian outback you should always have selected a
campsite, have the
camp set and the campfire blazing with sufficient time to gather by the fire with a refreshing beverage in hand to salute the greatest time of the outback day; Sunset!
Those who travel with me know this to be an almost religious edict!
Great photos Greg & Aloha!. Can't wait to be back out there.
Cheers. Mick.
