Hi guys,

Going up to lawn hill in May, just wondering if anyone knows any good fishing spots around lawn hill and bedourie, and everywhere else in between?
Spending 5 days at Lawn Hill and then coming down to Innaminka via mt Isa, boulia, bedourie and birdsville, love fishing and wouldnt mind finding a good few spots (:

Thanks guys

Got plenty of Yellow Belly in the Diamantina River just outside of Birdsville a couple of years back. Head towards Big Red out of Birdsville and turn left just after the first cattle grid. Follow the dirt track in to the river. We were getting them near the pump on bait prawns that we bought at the servo in Birdsville.

Just as you go out of town. First cattle grid. It is close to the toilet dump point. When you go in keep an eye out for a gate on the left and follow the track thru to the river. The track will run along the river for a bit. If they are on you will see where people have been fishing. Depending on the level of the water you might need a landing net to get them out of the water and up the bank.
