Great read that and many comments form owners resemble the problems we had with a dealer (about the largest in WA) and our then new Gold Crap van.
Started with fuses in vehicle always blowing stopping indicators, aircon and other stuff working. Retailer reckoned the rewiring should be paid by us!!!
Then there was excessive tyre wear, cupboards opening, fridge door opening and stuff all over van, curtains with holes in, pelmets falling off.
Old bloke (now deceased - good) reckoned it was our fault and told me to get out of his yard on more than one occassion.
Eventually fixed after our daughter noticed the bad low speed wobbling of the wheels.... they were so bad they couldn't be balanced. We were then accused of abusing the van and going off road! Hang on, that's what we paid an extra 3 grand for.
Anyway mostly fixed through constant calling consumer affairs who were reluctant to take on an "icon of the industry" and eventually the small claims court.
New wheels and all the additional costs we'd paid were covered very quickly by the maker who never ever responded to me emails.
Old blokes eldest son who ran the yard phoned me and said "I wouldn't have paid". What a tosser.
New curtains arrived screwed up bundled up tightly in a plastic bag requiring lots of ironing to make them look better.
What an attitude from the yard we'd purchased 3 RVs from, 2 from the same crap builder in
Melbourne.
