Yep, interesting - it's a series of six or so programs, and
well worth watching. And you're right,
Maralinga definitely should be on the bucket list for people who enjoy remote area travel, especially with the benefit of Robin's fantastic guided tour.

Didn't see it last night unfortunately. Was at M 2 years ago cost $100 per person for the tour. I believe it's double that now!!!

We watched it last night, I presume, that old mate the oyster farmer, who's surname is Evans, is responsible for Evans oyster shed at
Streaky Bay as
well? Sue was scoffing them quicker than I could shuck them.. Lol.. Can't blame her, the best oysters I've even had.. Great show, think next week they are doing
Winton, in Queensland .. Be heading up that way next year, so great to get a heads up! Cheers Odog

That's right Odog,
Winton next week.
Probably be an even better program than this one(parochial bias not showing........much.) :-)

Ha ha, highly unlikely, Allan.
Mayor Butch Lenton is, as
well as David
Elliott from
Australian age of Dinosaurs and probably Robyn Stephens, who organises the Outback Festival every 2 years. Will be worth watching though, :-)
In absentia, I've just been nominated as vice-president of the local Men's Shed, so maybe I'll get into the next doco??? Depends how much vice I get up too, I suppose!

Enjoyed the first one Looking forward to
Winton. Was there when former GG Quentin Byrce opened a new exhibit at the Age of Dinosaurs. I know Heather and had the the GG a couple of times before in
Canberra - so we had a good catch up.

Just a reminder, Folks,
Backroads is on again tonight at 8pm, on "Auntie" and
Winton is the featured town.
Heard an interview on ABC
Longreach this morning, where early morning presenter Danny Kennedy, spoke with Backroads host, Heather Hewitt. She is really excited about the series, and even more when the first episode,
Ceduna, was more popular than the final of the Biggest Loser.
An episode on
Karumba will be featured prior to Christmas.
Don't forget now, watch Backroads tonight! :-)

G'day Bob
I think there might be a bit of parochial pride in your post LOL.
I hope they feature some of the quirky attractions like the Musical Fence. The kids had a ball finding things in Arno's Wall as
well.
How is the rebuilding of the
Waltzing Matilda Centre coming along?
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Cheers
Anthony

Ha ha, you might be right, Anthony! :-)
Waltzing Matilda site has been cleaned up, and apparently a number of designs, 6 or 8, were on show for the locals to
check out. Of course, I didn't find out this until after the event. :-(
Merry, and safe, Christmas to you too,
Bob

Just a correction on my reply above.
The Backroads host is Heather Ewart, not Hewitt as I thought. Can't beat occupational deafness to help stuff things up!
Sorry Heather.
