I used to use a product that you painted onto the side of your vehicle to protect the paint. It was called Autoskin. It doesn't seem to be available now. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced alternative.
Thanks

Thanks Rod. I just dropped them an email. There won't be any paint left on our car soon as it gets lots of buffing each year. Living near the high country is great for top drives but damned hard on the cars.
Actually I tried Google for pin striping removal and didn't get Stephens reference. The old Google is not a mind reader.
Thanks for the repost.

Thanks Rod
I have a blog so it will not get lots for ever. The guys were very helpful with very prompt delivery.
I will be using it again in a few months, and it is the best protection that you can give your vehicle.
And for the record, there were about 3 companies that were offering to sell this or similar products, but only this one ever either answered their phone or replied to emails, and have been told the other companies went out of business.
Cheers
Stephen

Hey Phil
I should have also replied to you as
well, but with this gear, pin striping is a thing of the past and your paint works is just like new when you peel the film off after your trip in the bush.
Cheers

So it's a kind of plastic etc coating is it? If it isn't clear then I would be ripping it off every few weeks. We got up in the hills a lot.
Is it clear?

I just read the PDF file. That's a lot of work each month. I don't know if I would worry in our case.
But the jury is still out. I have asked them for more info and we will see.
It would be good if you only went out a couple of times a year. But a couple of times a month = I dunno.
Thanks Steven

Hi Phil
It is clear, but gives a dull finish to your cars paintwork, and when you run your hands or finger nails alongside of your paintwork, it feels like a rubber coating on the side of your car.
It does a fantastic job and i never go bush again without it.
Cheers
Stephen

My wife just found another product from Superchief called Armor All Custom Shield. It comes in a spray can and is sprayed on and peeled off. And if you don't get it all off you can use ArmorAll Bugh and Tar remover to get the "bits" off. There is also a "DIY" video.
I have no commercial interest in either Armor All or Superchief.
Phil
PS I someone else mentioned it then my apology.

Hi Loafer
We have on whole body of our Troopy OZICOZI for about 4years.It is actually 3M clear film, which doesn’t have to be re-applied. Once you put it on, stays on and yes, it is very tough.
For price of AU$3.500,~ is quite expensive, but if you have new, newish vehicle or in top condition, thing how much would cost whole vehicle re-sparing.
Cheers Dana

Thanks everyone for the quick follow-up. That gives me good info to go on. will definitely look into it.
As it turns out now just belatedly found another: called auto armour but can only get it at TJM
Maroochydore, not other TJM stores. but when searching for that name on google it doesn't come up. must be a rebranded product. Anyway will
check them all out.
Thanks heaps for the
feedback
