I am thinking of selling the camper trailer and buying a caravan.... after a bit of research, Evernew caravans are high on my list. I would love to have any
feedback (good and bad) on these please. Thanks, Leanne.

I know a few people with them and they all seem happy. Apparently they are fairly heavy in comparison with some other makes. This isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Not sure how recommending a peek on another
forum will sit with our illustrious Mod Squad but here goes anyway.
Try the Caravaners
Forum. They currently have an Evernew Owners Discussion Thread going under the Technical section.
You may be able to get what you need from the horses mouth, so to speak.
Cheers
Pop

Hi leanne, We have had our Evernew van just on 7 years and have no hesitation in recommending them. We have travelled
well over 100,000klms including dirt roads and have not experienced any major issues. When the van was 4 years old we discovered water leaking from under the en-suite. To cut a short story long, took it back to Evernew and after a week was to told there was no leak. The overflow cap on the flush
water tank had cracked and water had seeped through the mounting screw holes. 4 hours had been spent searching for the "leak'. Expecting to be hit with a bill for $200-300, I asked Bruce Bailey (owner) what do I owe you, with a slap on the shoulder he told me "nothing we're just happy your pleased with your van". That's the sort of people you are dealing with. A family business that has been in going for 50 years. You will find Evernew owners are a pretty loyal bunch.
It would be a good choice.
Happy vanning.
Jon

Thanks Jon, that is great
feedback. It is just about impossible to find anything bad said about Evernew caravans. Leanne.

Hi Leanne,
We bought a Evernew in 1989 and would not buy any other make now. It has taken us over 1000's of kms of dirt and bitumen including the
Gibb River Rd., the
Birdsville &
Oodnadatta tracks( before they became highways) and many fishing trips into the
Vic high country. All without problems. I would suggest you try and get one with the Simplicity
suspension and disc brakes if you want a really trouble free time. My son has recently spent 6 months travelling around NSW and Qld. with a Evernew van he bought second-hand and it was ideal. They are heavy, but that is because they build them to last. You will not regret it.
Regards, Robert

Thank you for your responses. As I said above it is hard to find anyone unhappy with their Evernew caravan. After reading the "rogues gallery" on the caravanners
forum I am a bit wary about the quality of build of some brands. Evernew seems to be the way to go.
Leanne.

Hello Leanne,
we are currently on our 3rd Evernew. The only reason it is our third is that we keep changing the layout and adding improvements to get more enjoyment out of our touring. If you are heading down the path of a new van, it is
well worth either a drive to
Melbourne or a flight down there to talk with either Bruce Bailey or Darren French (son-in-law) about what you want. They do have some stock vans on the lot (and maybe one or two second hand units) but there are always a number of vans in the yard awaiting final delivery and there is always a visit to the factory available to satisfy you quest for more ideas and info. A phone call is all that is necessary to "book" a time slot, (this would save disappointment should you arrive unannounced) particularly if a factory visit is on your to do list.
After sales service is superb as has been pointed out above.
Good luck with your purchase, which ever way you go.
phil

Leanne, we are currently awaiting delivery of our 3rd Evernew. We are obviously happy with the brand. Very helpful and practical company if you have queries and we are always meeting up with similarly happy customers. We have travelled for 2 and 3 months at a time, north and west , and love it.
Eagerly awaiting the new one, as we have sold the last sooner than expected and the new owners are very happy.
