Depending on what sort of camping you like as to where to
camp.
Hunters Gorge is more exposed but great
water hole. Gum Hole is much more sheltered and is my preference even given a few feral cats, just lock everything away at night.
Easy to spend at least 2 or 3 nights as there is plenty to see and do.

Green dog,
There's also a
good camp at the old Mayne Pub, on way out to
Winton, or way in, depending on your route.
Good scenery, and the Mayne
bore nearby, provides good water, for drinking and ablutions.
Also, as it's on a stock route reserve, it's okay to spent the night, or more. Probably only downer might be it's about 40 Kim's from Hunter's
Gorge.
Bob.
