Has any one camped recently at Three mile
camp site - Gnaraloo. We have an off road camper trailer ( self sufficient campers) and looking to explore the area. Also looking for a bit of beach fishing. Seems to be a bit pricey for
camp sites. Is Warrora a better option?
Any up to date info would be great.
Cheers Mike

Camped there a few weeks back. The road in was good, though corrugated, dirt. No problems towing a camper in.
The
camp its self has fairly basic amenities, and no drinkable water - take your own
drinking water. I agree the price seems a bit steep. When we were their it was nearly full so obviously the price does not scare too many away.
The beach is good with good snorkeling just off
the beach.
Camp sites are OK size and you can have fires, but must take your own fuel in. Main attraction appears to be fishing with many there having boats. Did not see anyone beach fishing.
Can't comment on Warrora

for beach fishing, they both offer the same.
Warroora is considerably cheaper but the downside is you'll have to get back to the
homestead for a hot shower. ive been camping at both since the early nineties and both are worth a visit.

We just spent 3 nights at
Red Bluff and can highly recommend it. The fishing off
the beach was not good, but apparently off the rocks at
the bluff should have been good late in the afternoon. Better if you have a boat.
We then went to 3 Mile and the
camp ground there was
well maintained, flushing
toilets and hot showers and a
well stocked
shop. Not sure about
the beach fishing and the wind was up at this time so we moved on.
Warrora or 14 Mile looked great, but a bit busy but a few
camp sites still available that were a little sheltered from the wind, no facilities at all, must have chem.
Toilet but there was a
camp toilet and a rubbish dump there. If coming from the south, take the second turnoff in as it is a lot shorter to 14 Mile.
Road as off 3 days ago were not too bad but corrugated in sections, best to let tyres down a little. Yes, no
drinking water once you go past
Carnarvon!
We drove on the
Coral Bay and we are staying there now. Kevin
