Hi All
Has anyone done this recently.... Could only find some very old posts. Looking to get road conditions, plus if it is doable in a day or simply to much.
Still doing research from
Birdsville to Innaminka - was planning on going via Cordillio Downs but was asked to consider
Haddon Corner
Thanks

Would be a long day, but I have done it before towing a camper trailer. You could shorten the trip by coming straight down through
Cordillo Downs.
On road conditions, can't help on recent, but generally all good until it rains...
Enjoy!

Like an highway. Slightly longer than Cordillo rd but way faster. It's the Arrabury rd, and to get to Haddon cnr you need to drive off the main rd for 10Km or so. The Cordillo rd was not recommended from either
Birdsville locals and
Innamincka roadhouse due high traffic of big trucks, that would be difficult to overtake.
And the scenery from the dunes to the gibber plains is amazing. Done in 6 hours few weeks ago.
Check the vid.

Your'e looking at about 500km by the time you go into The Corner and not exactly a super-highway. A long day indeed.
If you can afford 2 days, and
camp along the way, then you would have enough time to detour into
Cordillo Downs Shearing Shed and maybe go via
Nappa Merrie and
the Dig Tree.
If you must do it in a day, I would go via
Cordillo Downs and still get to see the
Shearing Shed.
