Hi guys,
I'm asking on behalf of a friend. He has a series 2 landrover and managed to break something. All symptoms point to a broken rear axle. He's attempted to remove the offending axle. One axle come out with no worries. The other side just wont budge. It will turn but it seems impossible to pull out. Any suggestions on why this would be happening. Is it possible the splines are damaged and are preventing it from being removed?
What would be the easiest way to get the axle out?
CHeers,
Justin

Probably broken part way along the spline at the diff end. May need to drop the diff as well if it's jammed. Have you tried a decent weight puller??Fidei defensor

Vox me old mate, how's it going cobber?

Photos taken at a place called Levuka ... working cattle property come 4WD park outside Wodenbong, just over the border from Qld in NSW.

Top spot. Went there on our first outing with a club we've recently joined. Haven't had occasion to join a club in the past but enjoyed it immensely.

If you've time would you check out my 2nd sat ph post as I'd welcome your comments.
