Decumbent to ascending herb to 40 cm high, with crisped simple hairs or glabrous.Basal leaves oblong to oblanceolate, mostly 5–8 cm long, 3–20 mm wide, margins toothed to pinnatisect with oblong to linear lobes.
Flowers in leafy racemes or subumbels; stalks 20–120 mm long, without bracteoles. Sepals lanceolate, 2.5–5 mm long. Corolla 8–19 mm long, bright yellow, glabrous or with few crisped hairs outside, densely bearded inside; lobes often reflexed; wings to 2.5 mm wide, narrower above auricle. Indusium depressed-ovate, 1–1.5 mm long, bearded beneath.
Flowering start in May and ends in November.
