Silver Wattle

Description

A very common wattle along the NSW tablelands. Ranges in size from a bushy shrub to a tall forest tree in wet forests. True leaves are green-grey. Spherical flower heads are at the ends of branches making a colourful flowering display. Suckers freely.

Flowering start in August and ends in September.

Identification

The main flower colour is yellow.

Uses

Bark used for tannin production. Wood used for pulp making and furniture.
