This trek provides access into the
Gregory National Park (Judbarra) from the east via a turn off from the Buchanan Highway.
Coming into the National Park from this approach you will arrive at the northern end of the
Humbert Track and miss the most notorious southern sections of track (Broadarrow & Wickham Tracks), but this route is still not suitable for caravans and there are significant areas to explore requiring high clearance 4WD with
rock steps and boulders to negotiate. This is a great excursion for those looking for a small taste of the options available in the
Gregory National Park including access to the main features such as the
Bullita Homestead, Fig Tree Yard, Top Humbert Yard, and if desired a short side trip to
Limestone Gorge.
This Trek provides the easiest option for exploring the Judbarra /
Gregory National Park as it does not include the Bullita Stock Route (although you could easily include that if you wished).
From the
Bullita Homestead, this trek gives you the route north up the 2WD accessible Bullita Access Road all the way to the Victoria Highway, with an optional 8km side trip (high clearance 4WD only) to
Limestone Gorge.
Make sure you book your National Park campsites online before you arrive and
check local conditions. If you travel soon after the wet season tracks may still be very wet and boggy.
If you're looking for a route with all the 4WD Tracks including the Bullita Stock Route, please refer to our Trek:-
Gregory National Park.
