Karijini (from Ashburton Downs) - WA

This log shows a 3 day section for the days we were travelling from Mt Augustus to Karijini and our driving within Karijini.

We started off this section from a bush camp we made in the dry riverbed at Little Pingandy Creek. We had left Mt Augustus at midday the day before taking the Dooley Downs Road to get here.

From the start point of this Track Log, we are on the Ashburton Downs-Meekatharra Road. This track meets the bitumen at the junction with Nanutarra Rd. We needed a top up of fuel and water so took the deviation into Tom Price about lunch time, then continued to our pre-booked campsite at Karijini National Park - Dales Campground.

We spent 3 nights in Karijini exploring each of the gorges except for Kalaminia.

We left Karijini via the eastern exit.
