Situated on the west coast of the Peninsula, 12 kilometres north-west of Minlaton, on Barkers Rocks Road - BYO water and firewood – dogs to be kept under effective control – 5 kilometre walking trail to
Port Rickaby – good fishing from rocks - no shade – no facilities - there are two camping areas and one
day use car park. Suitable for small vehicles only.
This is a bush
camp site accessible by conventional vehicles but visitors must have a
Yorke Peninsula Camping permit to stay here. This
camp site does not have
toilet facilities.
The nightly, weekly, monthly or annual permit allows you to
camp at any of the designed campsites on the
Yorke Peninsula Tourism Map - see attached file or visit the website for locations. Obtain your permit online, or call the number listed above, or visit a Council office, located in Maitland, Minlaton and Yorketown.
You are permitted to light open
camp fires providing you have a four (4) metre clearance around the proposed
camp fire, prior to lighting. Strictly no fires are to be lit during a total fire ban.
