Beegull Waterholes were named by the Paine and
Barclay Expedition in 1931 using the Aboriginal name. At this
waterhole site you can also see Aboriginal art is painted on the walls. The site is easily located by the white cross atop the rocky
cliff which can be seen from the main road. The White Cross has become the name of this tourist site on the "Outback Way". The white cross was erected in 1991 by Aboriginal Christians.
