The Goldfields is the largest gold producing region in Australia. The Super Pit is a very important part of Australian mining real estate, and history located on the famous Golden Mile.
The Super Pit is located at the south east corner of the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder, which is about 600kms east of
Perth. The Super Pit
lookout is located at the end of Outram Street, Boulder.
The public
lookout is open from 7:00am to 9:00pm daily and allows visitors to take a look at this enormous mining operation in action. Blasting occurs regularly, which can be viewed from the

Alternatively, each Boulder Market Day, KCGM runs one hour tours of the Super Pit, departing from the Historical Society,
Hamilton Street, Boulder. Boulder Market Days are on the third Sunday of every month and the Super Pit tours depart at 9:00am, 10:00am and 11:00am. Tickets are free on the day of departure, and are given on a first in, first served basis. Closed in shoes, long sleeves and long pants are essential.
