On the east side of the track.
August 2017 report: this is now a CRA
bore and not pumpable.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The area provides a very nice place to
camp beneath a grove of white trunked gumtrees. The area is situated by the main access track running north-south through the park and is clearly signposted. There are normally more than a few camels to be found wandering about the area and plenty of firewood about. The area is surrounded by a sea of native grass a rare relief from the spinifex. The main track into Rudall is sandy and often badly corrugated. It is the main thoroughfare for the local peoples travelling north to Telfor and between Punmu and Parrngurr.
The water at this southern handpump has previously been of poor quality (July 2008) and is now (July 2017) dismantled. Only a concrete slab and a hole left.
