Horatio Spencer Howe Wills (Horace Wills) was an Australian pastoralist and politician. In 1861, Horatio moved north to Queensland, at Cullin-La-Ringo in the Nogoa region near
Rockhampton. Just three weeks later, Horatio was murdered by aborigines, along with 18 others at the Cullin-La-Ringo massacre in 1861.
His son, Thomas Wills was credited as one of the inventors of Australian rules football (he is the umpire in the statue outside the MCG). Another grave that is near here is for William and Isabella Robertson who died in 1914 some 53yrs later.
