Airfield not really discernable. A couple of mounds of earth here and there and 4 empty 200 litre drums to the east of the track.
The remains of this
airstrip are located on the northern stretches of the
Hunt Oil Road approximately 49 kilometres south of the
Intersection with the
Gunbarrel Highway. The strip runs east west across the Hunt and although overgrown with spinifex, it is easy to discern by the slight mounds of stone running along the edges of the strip. The strip runs up a slight rise to the east and at the top of this rise there are several pits, rusted fuel drums and bits and pieces of steel. Although slight, one of the mounds provides a good view of the surrounding countryside.
