This convict built retaining wall is part of the old Great Western Highway at Bulls
Camp near Woodford in the Blue Mountains in NSW. Bulls
Camp was first set aside as a stock reserve in 1829 and then as a
camp for convicts constructing the first road over the Blue Mountains. This place is now a
picnic area and there is also a place near here called ‘The
Waterhole’ in the site of an
old quarry.
