Treachery Beach is situated near the popular Seal Rocks beach area and although isolated, it is said to be far from treacherous.
The beach is a little "off the beaten track" so a short drive through the heavy bushland will get you to the best spot to access
the beach.
Treachery Beach is quite popular for surfing and swimming. Other activities such as beach and
rock fishing, is best done around the months of March, April, May and June. On some days, pods of dolphins can be seen frolicking off the coast.
The camping rules at Treachery
Camp grounds are ‘free form’, which basically means no set
camp sites. A short walk over a sandy
hill at the fringe of the
camp area will see you standing above the white sands of Treachery Beach, and from this viewpoint, it feels as though
the beach goes on forever. Those that prefer a few more stars in accommodation can go to the basic holiday cabins not too far away and there’s also a
general store about one kilometre away if you require any supplies.
