Situated by the very edge of the Holland Tank Rd and clearly visible is a large concrete
water tank - but it was not put here or used by
John Holland. Commonly mistakenly refered to as The Holland Tank, this site is accurately named Holland Rocks due to a fascinating water harvesting system that
John Holland and his sandalwood pulling teams created for harvesting water off the
granite rock beds that lie just behind the concrete
water tank. So follow the track at this
junction that lead behind the tank and you will access the Holland Rocks. Holland camped here in April 1893 however neither he, nor his party constructed this tank which was placed here in later years. Note - a site by the name of Holland Tank is just a depression in the ground and lies just out of
Nyabing township. There are several Nama holes scattered across the
flat rock.
