Glastonbury Creek
camping area is an open grassy area at the base of a
hill and is accessible by conventional vehicle.
Main activities include exploring the surrounding forest on foot and by vehicle, abseiling nearby, relaxing, watching birds and wildlife. Glastonbury Creek flows beside the small
camping area which offers a great setting for a quiet getaway camping experience.
To access from the north, head 10km north of Gympie along the Bruce Highway then turn left onto the Wide Bay Highway and continue 7.8km. Turn left onto Petersen Road and follow the signs to the
camping area located on the left 2km past the forest entrance.
Caravan access along Petersen Road can vary according to road conditions. Please
check local conditions before setting out.
Open fires: Allowed—except when fire bans or prohibitions apply—in fire rings only, but fuel stoves are recommended. Generators no permitted.
Mobile phone coverage: Generally available depending on the mobile provider. Book on-line.
Dogs permitted on leash. Non-flush
toilets.
