Glenlyon
Dam is an "anglers' paradise"
well stocked with a wide variety of fish and crustaceans.
Most are native species including excellent food fish s?ch as Murray Cod, Golden Perch and Silver Perch.
Fingerlings of these three species were introduced by local fishermen in 1978. Recreational fishing in the
dam and associated storage areas has improved since 1987 when the Fisheries Management Branch of the Department of Primary Industries began restocking programs.
