Popular
waterhole on the Diamantina River lies on the former
Old Cork station. Swimming and fishing is permitted in the
waterhole. Yabbies, black catfish and yellow perch are the most likely catches.
Visitors can access the area to explore the
ruins of the old station
homestead, swim or fish in the
waterhole, and
camp along the river banks. The windmill draws water from the
waterhole and is still operational, despite the
homestead being abandoned in the 1980's.
