Buntine
Nature Reserve is one of the largest
reserves in the northern agricultural area.
It is an important habitat for native frogs and
well over 400 species (birds, reptiles, mammals and plants) have been recorded within a 5km radius of the nearby
Buntine Rocks.
Buntine Rocks are a popular picnic and
free camping site. In good years the rocks area is great place to look for
wildflowers during the early spring. See separate nearby place listing for
Buntine Rocks.
