Uluru -
Kata Tjuta National Park offers a diverse range of activities for visitors. Self-guided walks,
ranger guided activities, tours,
rock art, birdwatching, galleries and and sunset and sunrise experiences in the heart of the Red Centre which you will remember forever.
All roads are sealed, so driving around the park in a normal 2WD vehicle is not a problem. If you don’t have your own vehicle to get around, you can rent one at the airport, join one of the many bus tours or purchase an Uluru hop on hop off bus pass. There are no taxis or other public transport.
The best time to come is between May and September, when the maximum temperature during the day is usually between 20°C and 30°C.
Kata Tjuta is a 50km drive from Uluru and Uluru is a 20km drive from
Yulara so a day trip to the Olgas (
Kata Tjuta) will be a round trip of 140km return.
Take your time to plan your trip carefully and ensure you spend at least 3 nights.
Entry to the National Park requires either a 3 day permit or an annual pass. This can be booked online or payable at the entry
gate just beyond
Yulara on the way towards Uluru.
