The park lies on Frances Bay in Port
Darwin. The area was used as part of the WWII military sites, with an ammunition storage and testing site built in 1944. The WWII Display is open daily - free entry.
Also in the park are picnic areas with gas BBQ's, shade shelters,
drinking water and
toilets available. Cycling and walking paths are provided, with stairs leading down to the mangroves. A
lookout platform in the
picnic area will provide you with
views of
Darwin city, wetlands and the harbour.
